We can book fishing trips with top of the line local fishing guides who have years of experience and a deep understanding of the Kenai Peninsula waters or if you prefer fishing in the open waters, charter a certified guide to take you out into the Cook Inlet for Alaska's famous Halibut. |

All daily fishing trips will be fully equipped. All you need is a fishing license (which you can purchase online or locally at several locations), warm clothes, snacks and water. A half day trip will be 5 to 6 hours and a full day trip will be 8 minimum 12 hours max. Our lodge is 10 to 15 minutes from the boat launch areas of the lower Kenai River and 20 minutes from the Kasilof River.
(Per ADF&G Regulation guided fishing on Kenai River: Start 6:00am Stop 6:00pm)

Coho / Silver Salmon are in the Kenai River generally weigh in between 12 to 16 lbs. with the occasional fish up to 20 lbs. Regardless of the technique you use, once these fish arrive you can expect nonstop action and frequent limits.
On even numbered years as the silver salmon enter the Kenai River, they are accompanied by hordes of humpback salmon, known as “pink salmon” or “humpies”. This is an incredible fishery for kids, expert, and novice anglers. This run will peak between the 15th and 30th of August.
Fishing Techniques: Powerboat, Back trolling, Drift Boat, Casting Spinners, Fly Fishing.

| Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden - From mid-June through late October trout fishing on the Kenai River. |
Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden Fishing: The trout fishing is usually action packed with rainbows in the 4 to 7 lb. class and trophies in the 10 to 15 lb. bracket occasionally landed. On light tackle, spinning or fly rods, these giants can challenge even the most experienced anglers. Spending a day pursuing Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden should be part of every fisherman's Kenai river experience. With an average size of 18-20 inches and the occasional fish stretching the tape to 30+ inches.

May - June
- Closed to guided fishing from a boat Sundays and Mondays
- Starts season without use of bait. Bait is allowed when escapement goal if forecast by ADF&G.
- Slot limit is in effect - king salmon 46 - 55 inches must be released.
- Rainbow Trout closure May 1 - June 15. Rainbows cannot be targeted during this period.
- Guide hours 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- After you keep a king you must retire your rod (in May, June & July).
July
- Closed to guided fishing from a boat on Sundays & Mondays.
- Bait starts July 1, even if escapement goal is not reached on early run.
- Slot limit goes away July 1st.
- Guide hours 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
August - October
- Closed to guided silver fishing from a boat on Mondays (open on these days for trout).

May - June
- Open to guided fishing 7 days a week - no guide hours.
- Bait is allowed after May 15 - August 31st in Lower River.
- Tues/Thurs/Sat - you can keep 1 hatchery (fin clipped) king and/or 1 natural (with adipose fin) king.
- Sun/Mon/Wed/Fri - you can keep 1 fin clipped king per person. All natural (with fin) kings must be released.
- You can continue to fish (hook & release) after your limit is taken.
July
- Closed to fishing from a boat on Mondays. No guide hours.
- Bait is allowed
- One king per person per day. Fishing after retention is allowed.
August - September
- Open 7 days a week. No bait below highway bridge after September 1st.
- Upper River open to bait through September 15th.
Additional Info
- Current Alaska fishing license required and king salmon stamp required when targeting king salmon.
- Bank fishing open 24 - 7.
- Many of these rules are subject to change by emergency order of ADF&G.

What you should bring |
Alaska fishing license!
Temperatures can vary greatly during the day. Layered clothing from a t-shirt to a medium weight jacket or sweat shirt, rain jacket and pants, rubber boots or shoes that can get wet and bottled water, lunch or snack.
This is Alaska and you never know. |
